Regarding the defence-in-depth concept, the RSK concluded its discussions with a recommendation which determines the requirements in terms of multiple safety levels. The requirements result from a combination of various technical systems and administrative measures for the prevention and management of abnormal occurrences and design-basis accidents (Safety Levels 1, 2 und 3), the mitigation of consequences of accidents (Safety Level 4), as well as measures to support disaster response of the responsible authorities (Level 5).

Auf der 385. Sitzung am 20./21.07.2005 verabschiedete die RSK die von ihrem Ausschuss ANLAGEN-UND SYSTEMTECHNIK vorbereitete Empfehlung "Anforderungen an die Nachweisführung bei Kühlmittelverluststörfall-Analysen".

At the 384th meeting on 07.07.2005, the RSK discussed and adopted the statements prepared by its Committee on
PLANT- AND SYSTEMS-ENGINEERING (AST) - "Switch-off of the main coolant pumps during ATWS events at nuclear power plants with pressurised water reactor" (in German) which includes some new stipulations compared to the statement "ATWS events" (of the RSK of 03.05.2001, 340th meeting),

Die RSK beriet auf der 383. Sitzung am 02.06.2005 sicherheitstechnische Fragen der Stilllegung und des Rückbaus des Kernkraftwerks Stade und verabschiedete dazu eine von ihren Ausschüssen VER- UND ENTSORGUNG und REAKTORBETRIEB vorbereitete Stellungnahme.

Einen weiteren Schwerpunkt der Sitzung bildete die Fortsetzung der Beratungen der RSK zu Themenbereichen/Modulen des vom BMU beabsichtigten neuen kerntechnischen Regelwerks.

At the 383rd meeting on 02.06.2005, the RSK discussed safety-relevant questions related to the decommissioning and dismantling of the Stade nuclear power plant and adopted a respective statement (in German) prepared by its Committees on SUPPLY AND WASTE HANDLING (VE) and on REACTOR OPERATION (RB).
Another focal point of the meeting was the continuation of the discussions of the RSK on the topic areas/modules of the new nuclear rules and regulations planned by the BMU.

Schwerpunkt dieser Sitzung war die Meinungsbildung der RSK zu Themenbereichen/Modulen der Aktualisierung des kerntechnischen Regelwerks, die das BMU ausarbeiten lässt (http://regelwerk.grs.de).

This meeting concentrated on the formation of opinion of the RSK on the topics/modules of the revision of the nuclear rules and regulations performed on behalf of the BMU (http://regelwerk.grs.de).

Die RSK beriet und verabschiedete eine Stellungnahme über Sicherheitstechnische Aspekte konzeptioneller Fragestellungen zur Endlagerung von bestrahlten Brennstäben mittels Kokillen in Bohrlöchern anhand eines Vergleiches mit dem Konzept "Streckenlagerung von dickwandigen Behältern".
